Shipping & Delivery

After ordering online, you will receive an email confirmation from us containing your order details, and a payment receipt from eWAY or Paypal if you elected for payment by credit card or Paypal. We will normally confirm receipt of your order within a few minutes of ordering. When ordering from our site there are a number of important factors to take into consideration.

Processing Time

We strive to ship all orders on the same business day as payment clears. We can only do this for orders where payment has cleared by 1:00pm AEST, if payment clears after this time the order will be shipped the following business day. On the rare occasion that delivery will take a little longer, we will notify you via email with an estimated delivery time frame.

Regular Post

Items sent regular post should arrive within 1-4 business days. There is no tracking number available for items sent regular post.

Registered Post

Items sent registered post should arrive within 1-4 business days. All items sent registered post come with a tracking number, and can be tracked here.

Express Post

Items sent express post should arrive within 1-2 business days. All items sent express come with a tracking number, and can be tracked here if your tracking number looks like this, or here if your tracking number looks like this.

Shipping Location

We ship from multiple locations, from both local and overseas warehouses. The location each item will be shipping from is shown under each item in the shopping cart. All items shipped from overseas will be sent regular post, regardless of which shipping method is selected at checkout. There is no express or registered service available for items shipping from overseas. The shipping times displayed above are for shipping from Australian locations. All items shipping from overseas have the shipping time displayed on the product page, in the shopping cart, and also on the order confirmation email if an order is placed.

Instant Redemption Codes

If you have purchased an instant redemption code (Playstation Network, Xbox Live, World of Warcraft, etc) your code will be delivered within 30 minutes of ordering during business hours. If you have not recieved your code, please let us know via Live Chat or Orders outside of business hours will be issued as soon as we see the order, which in most cases is within 1-2 hours.

Product Information

New/Pre-Owned Games

All products shipped from Cheap Games Australia are brand new unless stated otherwise. Some new games will not arrive shrink-wrapped, as many publishers do not shrink-wrap their games. We also have a partnership with a retail outlet, and some of the games we ship to you may be on display on their shelves. For theft prevention, these games have the discs removed, and any DLC codes filed away. All pre-owned products will be tested before shipping. Most of the time our pre-owned discs look like they are brand new as we have a state of the art disc resurfacing machine, and we will use it on all pre-owned games as required. Any DLC codes/online passes shipped with pre-owned games most likely will have already been used, therefore most likely they will not work (but you never know your luck).

Parallel Imports

We sell parallel imports aswell as local release games. However, unlike many other online stores, we will not sell any parallel imports where the DLC codes will not work in Australia. Club Nintendo cards from our imported games will not work on an Australian account, but they can still be redeemed by creating a UK account. This also gives you access too many goodies not available from Nintendo Australia.

Returns & Replacements

Cheap Games Australia only accepts returns of faulty products. This refund policy does not apply to goods which have been worn through fair wear and tear, damaged after delivery, if any attempt has been made to alter the product or if they have been dropped or broken. Products must be returned in their original condition, and all postage and insurance costs are to be paid by the customer.  The customer shall assume any risk of lost, stolen or damaged goods during transit; we therefore recommend that all items are returned via Registered Post and fully insured. Cheap Games Australia will not be responsible for parcels lost or damaged in transit if the customer chooses not to insure. Cheap Games Australia is fully compliant with all relevant Australian Legislation. Any faulty products purchased from Cheap Games Australia, upon being returned to Cheap Games Australia, will be promptly refunded, repaired, or replaced at the customer’s discretion. Cheap Games Australia reserves the right to test all returns, and if no fault is found, a service charge will apply. PC Games not compatible with the customer’s system are not considered to be faulty. If you are unsure of the capabilities of your PC, we strongly recommend using the site can you run it. On this site you can select the game you are interested in from a dropdown list. The site will scan your computer, and give you a report on what the game requires, and what your system currently has. We take no responsibility for the results produced by this site, it is a third party site which is not affiliated with us in any way. If paying by internet banking, you can forward us a copy of the receipt for the transaction and we can dispatch your order immediately. Without this information, orders will be shipped when we have confirmation of the deposit, which is usually 1 working day after the deposit is made.


Some Paypal payments are an instant method of payment provided you have the funds available in your paypal account. If you have a debit or credit card linked to your Paypal account, most payments will clear instantly.

If you don't have a credit or debit card linked to your Paypal account, payments may be processed as an eCheque payment. These payments may take up to 4 business days for the payment to clear. If you are purchasing a instant redemption code, you code will not be sent until the payment clears. If your order is a physical shpment, your order will not be dispatched until the payment clears.

If you require your order to be processed immediately, we recommend paying via a debit/credit card, or via bank deposit, and sending us a copy of the internet transfer reciept.

Credit Cards via eWay

Credit card payments are processed via eWay. Our site is protected by a premium SSL Certficate. This means all information is encrypted and transmitted without risk. 

Identity Verification

For some higher value orders we may ask you for photo ID. This information is used purely to verify your name and address with the details you used for payment. Your verification documents will be destroyed securely upon processing of your order. For your peace of mind, you may wish to block out the ID number (drivers license number for example) and your date of birth. If identity verification is required for your order, we will contact you as soon as possible to avoid your order being delayed.
